The flu has been taking over the news lately. Conventional wisdom might tell us that with the temperatures starting to rise again that the virus would be on its way out, but that’s not always the case. The CDC has stated that as of December 2014, all national key flu indicators are elevated, and about half of the country is experiencing high flu activity. The CDC is reporting one of the most common viruses this year is Influenza A (H3N2). There is considerable confusion around the virus right now, as some reports as suggesting that the flu shot does not work, while others are urging you to go get one. Furthermore, there have been murmurs of another flu epidemic. So who is the best person to listen to when it comes to advice on the virus?
Your best option is to go directly to CDC.com, flu.gov or your family practice provider.
